Prairie Lane Boutique was a dream that has become a reality!  I am SO thankful that I have the chance to work full time from home...doing what I love to do, PAINT & create!

My name is Dawn, owner/artist of PrairieLaneBoutique.  I began creating 12 years ago, for our wedding.  From bouquets, boutineres, favors, card box and more, I (we---hubby too) made our wedding a handmade one!  To give it our personal touch and make it what we wanted (and to save us $). 

I had been creating for years (for myself and for gifts) but soon after we were married, I lost my Dad to a massive heart attack.  There was no time for goodbye, so many things left unsaid.  It was then that I poured my heart and soul into creating, as I found it to be a stress reliever and therapy for the many emotions I was going through. 

  In April 1999 we had our first son, Riley.  It was then that I realized I wanted to be a stay at home Mom.  I put as much time into creating as I could possibly put in, and started to sell the odd items.  I opened up my first website (Candlewoodcrafts) and dabbled in a variety of items.  From soap items, candles, wood items and more!  January 2002 we were blessed again by the birth of our 2nd son, Bailey. 

  In the summer of 2004 our family was devestated by the death (suicide) of my only brother.  So many things left unsaid... I miss him dearly!  It was then that I once again poured my heart and soul into my creating and delved into painting where I poured out my grief.  PrairieGirlBoutique was opened which was the real starting point of my online sales.

  For me.. painting and creating is a stress reliever, it's where I can pour out my happy thoughts, grief, anger and love!  It brings me a sense of serenity and happiness. 

  PrairieGirlBoutique was changed to PrairieLaneBoutique in the summer of 2009, and has been growing strong ever sense!  I have met the most wonderful people, and worked with the best customers!  I can only hope and dream this is the start of something wonderful!
